I have my Renault can clip installed on 2 different Dell D630 one works fine and one has problem with Can clip diagnostic tool K-line not work (megan I, laguna, clio I ) ,Can-line (megan II, clio II )works Ok.

Before I upgraded my version on the one with the problem both installs worked ok. My problem has only started since I upgrade v109 to v136 and turned the firmware update off.

Just not got round to sorting it. Running on windows XP by the way.

In a word, if the Renault can clip version is a newish one and you have turned off the firmware update try turning it back on.

Any immobilizer-related operation requires a security code, which can be found in the Car Pass. Today a customer told EOBD2 that his GM Tech2 could only recognize GM card and not SAAB, OPEL and Suzuki card. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Here EOBD2 technicians have offered 3 solutions to fix it.

Solution 1:

Disassemble GM Tech 2, find the IC board and replace the chip in red circle with a new one from the local shops. If the local shops do not have the chip, please let our customer service know and we will contact GM Tech2 factory for it.

Solution 2:

Check if the components in blue circle are well soldered. If the components are lose, please de-soldering them and then solder them back firmly.

I have a 2002 540it that I have a diagnostic laptop that I use on it. It contains working versions of SSS, BMW Scanner, INPA, DIS. just about everything. it all works just fine on my E39. My brother has a 2002 530i that we cannot get any of the software to work on. We usually get the ubiquitous cannot connect to the EWS error. None of the software will interfere with his E39. They are within 4 months build day of each other. PS: 1.4 uses its "special" OBD II connector, but the others use a generic OBD II connector.

BMW Scanner aka PA Soft is available in 3 versions, each with different interfaces. V1.4.0 is for cars up to circa 2001, v2.1.0 does up to 2006 and you need v2.2.0 for DCAN cars. His car should communicate exactly the same as yours with INPA and DIS. If not, the problem is more than likely to be with the car rather than the software. Check Fuses 15 and 25, there is no alternative diagnostic port. Also make sure that pins 4 & 5 of the OBD port are properly grounded.
