I bought a BMW E65 where the odometer is corrected (I think) I went to the dealer and they diagnosed my key. The key said the car had driven 200000 km (that’s also what is on my display) but when I diagnose it with BMW ISTA D it has several errors far beyond 200000 km. (250000, 260000, 318000) The dealer says you can't change the km's inside the car key.

Can change the KM inside the car key?
The dealer lying, after you put the key in ignition, he takes the KM from CAS module. For example - when you have two keys but you use only one and another is at home and you take this key and go to dealer the key show KM from last drive. There is programmer for key too
This errors are because who changed the km it is not deleted the history memory of CAS and all module in the car. The KM is stored in CAS and Tacho.

Can change the mileage from EWS?
There is no more EWS on this BMW, seit new E60,E65,E90 is multifunctional AS module
The key take km from CAS. There is no more LCM too, this module is with another together in FRM module.

Is there a way to find out the real KM? Is there a possibility that the ICOM/ISTA-D is wrong?

you can compare the service interval and see but ICOM/ISTA-D not wrong because there is history of error code and this history must reset after change the km too , but not many people make this Example - when you change the battery the value of km is stored too
but you can erase that and you find nothing.

Where can I find the Service interval in ISTA?
In DASH or CAS (depend of car), you can see how many times is reset. You can use INPA BMW very easy and check the history to battery replace (I don`t think that you have original battery and after replace must the IBS sensor reset)

This is very easily done, once the CAS is changed and dash is done, all car needs to do is drive with each key for 10km and it will take new KMs from CAS system. He is full of shite. And as far as seeing how many times it’s been programmed you can just change the AIF to whatever you want if you have the right tools. That’s why I make people bring ALL THERE KEYS so there all driven 10km's, then read with TKT to confirm the new KMs have taken on the keys. The biggest problem is most people just do dash and CAS, they don’t do the following, which is why I tell people CAS/dash/keys 500 or 800 or full job which includes :
CAS
Dash
Keys
DME
DSC
EGS
IHKA
VDM
VTG
AIF
MAINTENANCES.

This is someone who had cheap job done.
